JeCCDO Took Part in the Annual CSOs Best Practice Day 

JeCCDO participated in the annual Best Practice Day organized by Consortium of Christian Relief and Development Association (CCRDA) in Addis Ababa on 26 November 2015. Exhibition was part of the celebratory event wherein JeCCDO put on show its development works, successes and awards in its 30 years of history. JeCCDO’s booth was visited by guests of honour: HE Ato Mulatu Teshome, President of FDRE; HE Ato Kassa Teklebirhan, Minster of Federal and Pastoral Affairs; HH Abune Matiyas, Patriarch of Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahido Church; Dr Abrham Tekeste, State Minister for Finance and Economic Development. In witness of JeCCDO’s immense work on capacity development of CBOs, Eniredada Yeiddiroch Mahiber, one of the emerging exemplary CBO accompanied JeCCDO’s exhibition. In addition to the distinguished guests, a number of representatives of the donor community and other participant visited JeCCDO’s booth.

The celebration gave JeCCDO an opportunity to introduce its best practices to like-minded organization, and also share that of others. During the event, Civil Society Organizations which had extraordinary achievement were given recognition by guest of honours. President Mulatu Teshome; in his speech, acknowledged the role of civil societies in reducing poverty and call for better engagement in the implementation of Growth and Transformation Plan II (GTP II). Consortium of Christian Relief and Development Association (CCRDA) is the largest umbrella organization of CSOs in Ethiopia , and JeCCDO is one of its oldest members.
